Set against the backdrop of Indian mythology and a dystopian society in the desertified city of Kasi in 2898 AD, the only city now known to exist, ruled by a totalitarian elite, Supreme Yaskin, from a hovering megastructure above it known as the Complex. The film chronicles a journey spanning millennia, from the events of the Mahabharata in the year 3102 BC, the beginning of Kali Yuga, to 2898 CE. The core of the narrative revolves around the enigmatic figure of Kalki, the tenth and final avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu.
